AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 17, 2026 — Bazaarvoice, the world’s leading platform for sourcing, displaying, and amplifying authentic user-generated content (UGC), today announced a strategic partnership with Bluefish, the Agentic Marketing Platform for enterprise brands. The collaboration comes on the heels of new joint research revealing a dramatic and positive shift in consumer sentiment toward AI shopping, with a corresponding surge in their desire for UGC to source AI’s recommendations. Data from Bluefish’s platform found that Bazaarvoice was detected on one third of Al-cited PDPs with reviews, the largest share of any verified review platform and nearly two times the next-highest.
Through the partnership, joint enterprise clients can leverage Bluefish to monitor share of voice, analyze sentiment across audience segments, and receive real-time alerts when AI engines output inaccurate brand information. Bluefish identifies AI visibility gaps and routes those optimization recommendations to Bazaarvoice. Brands can then use Bazaarvoice to launch targeted Influenster sampling initiatives, optimize messaging via Bazaarvoice Content Coach, or deploy the Authentic Discovery API to make customer feedback instantly readable to AI crawlers.
“This partnership is about helping brands take AI signal out of a report and into real marketing execution across content commerce and media,” said Alex Sherman, CEO and co-founder of Bluefish. “Bluefish enables brands to translate AI performance intelligence into powerful agentic campaigns that run across critical marketing channels like Bazaarvoice content programs.”
Key insights from the joint AI search study include:
- Review depth, placement, and quality are common characteristics of AI-cited pages: 59% of AI-cited PDPs have 100 or more reviews, 92% have ratings of four stars or higher, and 65% display a review summary at the top.
- Major shift in shopper sentiment: Consumer emotion around AI shopping has transformed in just six months. In February 2026, shoppers’ top feelings were caution, neutrality, and skepticism. Today, shoppers describe using AI for product research as feeling informed, happy, and confident. Plus, 62% said compared to six months ago, their trust in AI recommendations has increased, with over a quarter (26%) saying it has increased significantly.
- Reviews are the top reason why: When asked what makes them trust an AI product recommendation most, 57% of consumers point to authentic reviews and star ratings over any other source, more than brand reputation, price, or the AI’s own explanation.
- And shoppers want to see the receipts: 57% say it’s very important, and another 33% say it’s somewhat important, to know that an AI tool actually sourced its recommendation from real customer reviews and photos.
“The data confirms what we’ve seen across the market: verified consumer voices are now not only one of the top currencies AI recommendation engines use to guide shoppers, shoppers are also actively demanding it,” said Brenda Tuohig, SVP, Strategic Partnerships at Bazaarvoice. “With consumer trust in AI search rising alongside the prioritization of crawlable UGC, tracking your AI visibility without a way to rapidly publish structured reviews leaves your brand exposed. Our partnership with Bluefish bridges the gap between deep, category-level intelligence and immediate execution. We’re giving enterprise brands the real-time alerting, vertical-specific insights, and technical infrastructure they need to capture market share as generative search continues to accelerate.”

Methodology
Bazaarvoice’s findings are based on two mixed-methods consumer research studies conducted by Bazaarvoice: the Authenticity, Trust + Perception in an AI Reality Study (February 2026, N=1,300+ US adults) and the AEO/GEO Adoption & Behavior Survey (September 2026, N=1,700+ adults across the US, APAC, and EMEA regions). All respondents were screened for active AI usage prior to participation, with each study utilizing over 20 quantitative multiple-choice and qualitative open-ended questions to evaluate shifting consumer trust and behavior.
Bluefish’s findings are based on an analysis of AI citation data collected from September 1–7, 2026, across ChatGPT Web, Google AI Overviews, and Perplexity. The dataset evaluated 23,592 unique brand and e-commerce URLs spanning 237,804 citation instances across CPG categories, including apparel, snacks, beverages, and toys.
