Staff Software Engineer | Austin, TX
Why do you love working at Bazaarvoice?
I love working with smart people, and the Curations dev team exemplifies that more than any other team I’ve ever been a part of. Everyone is always willing to jump in and collaborate on any situation and consistently has great ideas. We’re a tightly nit team, and everyone I work with is someone that I genuinely like to be around, even outside of work. Having a desk next to the balcony doesn’t hurt either.
What differentiates Bazaarvoice from other companies?
Where a lot of other companies tend to dictate what technologies or solutions their engineering teams use, Bazaarvoice does a great job of empowering engineers to solve problems the best way possible.
What is your proudest accomplishment at Bazaarvoice?
Our team is introducing a new GraphQL-backed client portal, which is really fun to work on.
Tell us about some of your roles at Bazaarvoice
I’m the Technical Lead for Curations, as well as a contributor to our internal UI component library and several other front-end focused projects around the building.
What extra-curricular tech activities do you participate in?
You can spot me at the occasional AustinJS or ReactJS meet ups here in Austin. I also contribute to a few different open source projects.
What are your hobbies?
I’m an avid home brewer along with typical dad stuff like yard work and fiddling around with DIY projects around the house.
