Industry leaders join forces to strengthen the integrity of social content

Bazaarvoice and the Word of Mouth Marketing Association (WOMMA) today announced they are joining forces to develop new industry standards to strengthen the integrity of consumer-generated review content. Global SaaS leader welcomes veteran enterprise software and cloud computing executives from Rackspace and BMC Software to drive continued expansion and growth

Bazaarvoice (NASDAQ: BV) today announced two new executive appointments as the company rapidly expands its high-growth, global business. Kelly Connery has joined the company as general manager (GM), Brands North America, and Matthew Schatz has joined as GM, Retail and Emerging Markets. Both are accomplished executives with deep experience in global technology sales, enterprise software and cloud computing. They join European GM Mark Riggs to round out the organization’s global GM structure, and all report to Heather Brunner, chief operating officer.

TIBCO executive vice president and chief financial officer will also serve as chairperson of the Audit Committee

Bazaarvoice (NASDAQ: BV) today announced the appointment of TIBCO Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Sydney Carey to the Board of Directors. A seasoned corporate finance and strategy executive, Carey will also serve as the chairperson of Bazaarvoice’s Audit Committee and as a member of Bazaarvoice’s Compensation Committee. Her appointment is effective April 4, 2012.
