Bazaarvoice Appoints Andy Leaver as International Vice President

Austin, Texas – July 14, 2009 – Bazaarvoice, the market and technology leader in hosted social commerce applications that drive sales, today announced that Andy Leaver has joined the company as International Vice President. Leaver, who has spent nearly two decades building out EMEA operations for technology leaders, will be responsible for driving the next phase of international growth for Bazaarvoice as companies around the world embrace social commerce to engage consumers, drive sales, and evolve their businesses around their customers. Bazaarvoice has been rapidly expanding into the UK, Europe, and Asia over the past year and now serves more than 115 global brands from its offices in London, Paris, and Singapore.

Prior to joining Bazaarvoice, Leaver led the EMEA team at SuccessFactors, a Talent and Performance management software business. Over two years, he built the company to 100 people across 10 countries, winning over 350 customers including Nokia, Cable & Wireless, and Siemens. He previously spent six years at Spend Management software company Ariba as EMEA VP, most recently transforming the business to an OnDemand model. Leaver began his career at Microsoft, where he founded the European consulting team and spent six years delivering global projects before he joined General Electric. During his 6-year tenure at GE, Leaver spearheaded the company’s e-business revolution and worked directly with the GE board and Jack Welch.
