Bazaarvoice Partnership with Google Shopping Helps Clients Stand Out in the Search Experience

AUSTIN, Texas, March 26, 2015 – Bazaarvoice, Inc. (Nasdaq: BV), the network connecting brands and retailers to the authentic voices of consumers wherever they shop, today announced that clients can now extend the reach and value of their review content by syndicating it to Google for display in Product Listing Ads (PLAs) in the United Kingdom, Germany and France. Bazaarvoice has provided this capability to clients since Google launched the program in the United States in September 2014.

As an approved partner for product ratings on Product Listing Ads, Bazaarvoice is able to help its clients embed their review content within PLAs across google.com, Google Shopping, and Google’s respective country sites. The 5-star rating system shown in each PLA represents the aggregated rating and review data for the product, compiled from multiple sources including merchants, other approved third party aggregators, editorial sites, and individual users.

“Given the enormous influence of consumer reviews, brands can gain a competitive advantage when they display reviews in all of the places that help consumers make a more informed purchase decision,” said Alan Godfrey, executive vice president, Business and Corporate Development at Bazaarvoice. “Our longstanding collaboration with Google dates to 2010, when we announced our participation in the Google Product Reviews Program. With the new option to embed their review content in Google PLAs, we’re giving our clients even more expansive reach into the shopping experience, greater ability to differentiate their products, and an increased opportunity to drive traffic to their product pages.

Bazaarvoice clients interested in enabling product ratings on their PLAs can begin the process by completing the product ratings form to submit review content.
